Murphy Sports Group, LLC. reached formal conception in February of 2018 at the hands of Jake Murphy at the age of 21 years old. The idea of Murphy Sports had long been drawn out, beginning in 2016 when Jake was 20 years old. Murphy Sports was founded upon a family concept, as the Murphy name has been attached to generations of athletic excellence. 

While Jake knew a career as an athlete was far-fetched, the passion for sport would never fade. This led to Jake seeking the formal education and practices that would lead him to becoming the next great sports agent. 

A product from the teachings of Mr. Leigh Steinberg, Jake has obtained the ranks of such achievements as:

• University of North Texas, Class of 2017, Bachelors Degree awarded in Sports Management with a concentration in Sports Law - Magna Cum Laude

• University of Florida, Class of 2019, Masters Degree awarded in Sports Management with an emphasis in Sports Law

• University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law, Class of 2019, Certified in Entertainment Law

• Leigh Steinberg Sports Business Certification with Excellence 

Jake is blessed to have grown alongside his devout father, Tom, a former University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Football letter winner. His brother, Ben, a collegiate hockey player, always kept Jake's competitive mentality sharpened and often tested. Jake's mother, Kris, is owed much of his success. Her memory makes the "Murphy" in Murphy Sports that much more meaningful, as she passed in 2002 after a battle with cancer. 

In continuation of the many blessings: Ashleigh, Jake's wife. Words cannot be accurately written to describe the role that she has played in Jake's life, which extends far beyond work. Any success that may come of Murphy Sports will be directly connected to her.

This paints a very broad picture of the Murphy family, one that we believe will extend to many in the Sports world and beyond.
